5 LFMS Guidelines for Success

  1. Be Respectful!
  2. Be Prepared!
  3. Give 100%
  4. Take Responsibility for Actions!
  5. Be Honest!

Class Procedures

  • Be working on the starter, silently, when the tardy bell rings
(4th tardy will result in an office referral.)
  • Have your materials with you
    (3 strike policy)
  • Follow the CHAMPS procedures
  • Sharpen pencils at beginning of class
(If you have to sharpen during class, wait until teacher is not talking.)
  • Throw trash away at the end of class
  • Raise your hand to address the teacher and class
  • Follow the 5 LFMS guidelines for success
  • Wait to be dismissed when the bell rings

Evaluation

Six Weeks grades will be calculated according to the following percentages:

  • Tests / Projects / Quizzes ... 50%
  • Homework / Classwork / Journal ... 50%

Materials

Items that should be brought to class every day:

  • Pencil
(should be used on all math work - 5 point deduction if not in pencil)
  • Paper
  • Scientific Calculator
(I have a class set, but it is beneficial to have your own)
  • Textbook
    (Algebra students only)
  • LFMS Agenda

Items that are already in classroom:
(Please send $0.50 to cover these two items)

  • Spiral notebook
    (journal and vocabulary)
  • Folder
  • Textbook
    (Foundations II students only)

Make-Up Work

It is the responsibility of the student to make up work missed while absent from school.  The student is allowed the number of school days absent plus two additional days to complete the work.  For every day the assignment is late, 8 points will be deducted from the final grade.

Team Referral Plan

    Step 1:  Warning
    Step 2:  Write-offs
Step 3:  Detention / isolated lunch
    Step 4:  Parent conference
    Step 5:  Office referral

*Teachers reserve the right to skip some or all of these steps depending on the severity of the offense.
